The City Manager's office has released the following statement on behalf of Mayor Deborah Novelli and the City Council:

Arrest of Councilmember Cynthia Homen

This morning the City of Patterson was made aware that Councilmember Cynthia Homen was arrested and charged with a felony, accessory after the fact (32 PC).

It is the City’s understanding that Councilmember Homen’s arrest stems from a car accident during her personal time, where she was the passenger in a vehicle that lost control. The City is only aware of information that is publicly available.

The City takes this information and the charge against Councilmember Homen seriously. The City will closely monitor this matter.

The City will not make any comments on this topic until such time as all proceedings concerning Councilmember Homen have concluded.

For any inquiries, please contact City Manager Ken Irwin at (209) 895-8010.
