A woman was injured and taken to the hospital Monday afternoon after her SUV went through a chain-link fence and struck a light pole.

The Ford SUV drove into a fence on the south side of East Grant Line Road opposite Colony Drive, between East Street and MacArthur Drive. The fencing wrapped around the SUV, which stopped when it hit a light pole on the sidewalk.

Firefighters used a saw to slice the fence away and free the driver.

No one else was involved in the crash.

I wonder if there was a cell phone involved?

Concerned

One firefighter has safety gear on, and the other not so. Good thing something didn't fly up and hit him in the eyes.
