Manuel Furtado, 88, of Antioch, a Tracy High School graduate who grew up on a dairy on Grant Line Road, died Thursday in Antioch from complications of dementia. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. July 10 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 200 E. 18th St., in Antioch. 

Talona Nathaniel, 17, a graduate of Stein High School, died Thursday. A celebration of her life will begin at 11 a.m. July 11 at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Burial will be private.

Myrna Covarrubias, 40, a lifelong Tracy resident and teacher, died Sunday at Stanford Medical Center. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. July 19 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave., followed by burial in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 1-9 p.m. July 18 at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., and a rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.

Oluyemisi Sowunmi, 76, died June 12. Graveside services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road, and a celebration of life will follow at noon at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave.

Frank Hagerty, 71, of Tracy, a local teacher and Tracy High School track and cross-country coach for many years, died June 20 from complications of cancer. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., is handling arrangements. An open house will be held from noon-5 p.m. July 13 at 1447 Mansfield St.

Julie Lee Thomason, 77, a Tracy resident for 12 years, died Sunday. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., is handling arrangements. As she wished, there will be no services.

Maxine Holmes, 70, died June 22. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., handled arrangements. As he wished, no services will be held.

Gregory O. Brewer, 62, a Tracy resident for 10 years, died June 19. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., handled arrangements. As he wished, no services will be held.

Carlos Tony Faria, 61, died June 18. Tracy Memorial Chapel, 5 W. Highland Ave., handled arrangements.
