Bronson, a 2-year-old Chihuahua, is the beneficiary of a $1,000 grant from the Petfinder Foundation for emergency medical care. He was picked up by the Tracy Animal Shelter after being hit by a car, and Animal Rescue of Tracy took him in and arranged surgery with the help of the grant. His elbow was pinned and will remain immobile for 4-6 weeks until it has healed.
The Petfinder Foundation is a nonprofit that helps shelters and rescue groups that post adoptable pets on Petfinder.com. It has given more than $20 million in cash and product grants since its founding in 2003.
