Army Sgt. Albert Emhoff and Cpl. Enos Yrigoyen, both of Banta, have received the Good Conduct Medal while serving “somewhere” in the South Pacific.

The Third Coast Artillery Band of Fort Winfield Scott in San Francisco stopped by Tracy to play some music and recruit band members.

Tracy’s baseball team defeated the Kenealy Seals of San Francisco, 1-0, in 12 innings.

Tracy was shaken by a Sunday afternoon earthquake. The epicenter is unknown.
