Kimball 57, Central Catholic 26

The Jaguars claimed a 57-26 win at Central Catholic High in Modesto on Friday and finished Valley Oak League play as co-champions of the league.

The Jaguars (22-5, 10-2 VOL) tied for first with Manteca (19-8, 10-2 VOL). The two teams split their league games, and both teams lost to East Union High — Kimball with a 56-54 loss on Jan. 30 and Manteca with a 55-43 loss on Friday night. East Union (18-9, 9-3 VOL) is the third-place team in the league.

A coin flip on Friday night made Manteca the No. 1 seed from the VOL going into the playoffs. Brackets will be released Saturday afternoon.

On Friday, the Jaguars took a 26-13 halftime lead over the Central Catholic Raiders (16-12, 3-9 VOL) and continued to outscore them through the second half.

Senior Alicia Leonardo and sophomore Isabelle Lacap led the Kimball offense with 11 points each, and junior Dariana Willis and sophomore Breyah Wilson scored nine points each.
