Debra Polk (Your Voice, June 7) did a first-class job muddying the waters, but the truth is that Rep. Josh Harder not only backs abortion for all nine months, but backs infanticide for babies who survive abortions.

No one’s business — Debra Polk

It would be helpful if, in the future, Polk more carefully read the letters to which she responds and not play games. We’re not just talking about late-term abortions; we’re talking about babies who survive abortions.

There have literally been hundreds of babies in the U.S. killed by abortionists after they have survived abortions. Maybe Polk and Harder could both tell us why killing a baby who survives an abortion is OK.

One reporter, writing about the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania Grand Jury report for Jan. 14, 2011, and the case of Kermit Gosnell, called the report among the “most horrifying I’ve read.”

For those who want to know whether David Kerst or Polk is telling the truth, I would suggest they go to this URL: https://cdn.cnsnews.com/documents/Gosnell,%20Grand%20Jury%20Report.pdf. It is clear that Kerst is right and Polk is far off base.

“This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable babies in the third trimester of pregnancy—and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors,” the report states.

People like Melissa Ohden, Gianna Jessen and Claire Culwell are living, breathing adults — proof that babies survive abortions. Maybe Polk and Harder can tell them why they don’t/didn’t deserve to live.

It is pathetic that Harder has not supported the House discharge petition to force a vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
