The first block party of the season was held last Friday, May 4. It featured a great Latin band and seemed to be enjoyed by those who either watched, listened or danced. We have been going to them for years and we appreciate that City of Tracy has such fun, free entertainment. Each year more and more people attend, especially the first couple of concerts, with the cooler temps. However, with so many people, the three stalls of women’s restroom at the Tracer station are not enough. With food and drink being available for purchase, and people bringing their own, there is a need for more restrooms, especially for the women. The line waiting for the restroom, even after the band started playing again after their break, was snaked down the hall with 30-plus women/girls. I realize there are businesses in the area but it is not fair to them for non-customers to use their facilities. I would like to suggest regular and handicap portable toilets be considered in the future, especially during the first two concerts, and if possible throughout the concert season. Again, the concerts are enjoyed and appreciated!
